High density polyethylene (HDPE) is a kind of thermoplastic resin with high crystallinity and non polarity. The appearance of HDPE is milky white and translucent to a certain extent. PE has excellent resistance to most of the chemicals used in life and industry. Some kinds of chemicals can produce chemical corrosion, such as corrosive oxidants (concentrated nitric acid), aromatic hydrocarbons (xylene) and halogenated hydrocarbons (carbon tetrachloride). The polymer is non hygroscopic and has good water vapor resistance, and can be used for packaging purposes. HDPE has good electrical properties, especially high dielectric strength of insulation, which makes it suitable for wires and cables. Medium to high molecular weight grades have excellent impact resistance, even at room temperature and even at - 40F low temperature.
Mainly used for: extrusion of packaging film, rope, woven bag, fishing net, water pipe; injection molding of low-grade daily necessities and shell, non load bearing components, rubber box, turnover box; extrusion blow molding container, hollow products, bottles.
HDPE plastic tools: acid and alkali resistance, resistance to organic solvents, excellent electrical insulation, low temperature, can still maintain a certain toughness. The surface hardness, tensile strength, rigidity and other mechanical strength of LDPE are higher than that of LDPE, close to that of PP, and tougher than PP.
